Treatment Costs
The cost of root canal treatment can vary depending on which tooth is being treated and how complex the procedure is.
Your first consultation will cost $350. This includes any X-rays or scans needed for an accurate diagnosis and treatment plan.
As a guide, treatment fees are typically:
Front teeth: $2,650 – $2,950
Premolars: $2,900 – $3,150
Molars: $3,200 – $3,700
Surgical treatment (e.g. apicectomy): $2500-3000
After root canal treatment, some teeth will also need/benefit from a crown, onlay, or veneer for extra strength. Your regular dentist will provide this and give you an idea of the cost.
Please remember these are guide prices only. Some teeth are more complicated—like those with multiple canals or previous treatment—and may cost a little more. At your consultation, we’ll explain the expected fees and timeline so you know exactly what to expect before starting treatment.
If you have private health insurance with extras cover, you may be able to claim a rebate. We’ll give you the item numbers at your consultation so you can check with your health fund.
We also offer a range of flexible payment options to make treatment more manageable, including:
Afterpay
Denticare
Zip Pay
Our reception team will be happy to talk you through these options and help you choose the one that works best for you.
Your natural teeth are worth saving — while root canal treatment is an investment, it’s often the best way to keep your own tooth healthy and functional for years to come.
